  Very friendly staff and great breakfast. Well located - The staff were very freindly and helpfull, I thought the price was alittle high considering you had to pay for breakfast as an extra cost.

  The rooms and beds are very nice. Very good breakfast as well. Shaftesbury is a small place, so it is easy to walk from the hotel see the sights (countryside views on both sides of town + Gold Hill). The dining experience was very nice, with a waiting drink and reading the menu in the outside garden, and we got a very good table just inside the op... что говорят » en doors (a good thing when the weather is lovely). The food was very good, though perhaps not quite as wonderful as expected. - The hotel is described as a Restaurant with Rooms. It is a small independent hotel owned by the excellent chefs who have great experience of working in luxury hotels worldwide. They provide good accommodation with attention to detail. All staff were both friendly, helpful and professional. The restaurant is the jewel, The guys know how to cook and present superb food with an extensive wine list.

  Everything!!! Upon arrival we fell in love with the Old Forge, being welcomed by Tim and Lucy and a chocolate brownie with tea and coffee makes you feel at home straight away. The work, love and passion that Tim and Lucy have put into the Old Forge reflects in their personalities and is infectious. We have already decided we will be staying aga - It's been both our most favourite place to stay. The style and attention to detail in the rooms is wonderful. We've stayed in the Shepherds hut and the b&b room. Both were fantastic. Beautiful setting amongst hills. Horse and donkey in the paddock with hens running around the yard. Local produce delicious breakfast with apple juice from their orchard! The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Have stayed twice and will be back again. Can't recommend enough!
