  The proprietors and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable as was the hotel lounge. The dining room was attractively decorated (as were all other rooms that we saw) and both breakfasts and evening meals were delicious, with an excellent choice of menu.   Everything! The atmosphere when you arrive is friendly, even though they were hosting the local school fete in their garden. The all staff were friendly as were the locals. We arrived back at 00.45 and were still abl - Staff always friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much for them to do. Food excellent with local produce and fish caught daily. All meals cooked whilst you wait with generous portions. Rooms very comfortable with genuine features as this inn was a farmhouse about 200 years ago. Will be going back for another stay next summer and would happily recommend this inn. There is plenty to do and see within about a 25 minute drive. Scenery magnificent.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was excellent. The staff, (Louise and Nick especially) and Mandy the owner and her daughter Sarah (not to mention the Cavapoo dog Milo, just the same as our dog Charlie!) were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The rooms were immaculate, extremely clean and it was so obvious that staff took great pride in their work to ensure guests are afforded a trouble free stay. The food in the restaurant was of excellent quality and value with the breakfast one of the best I have ever had - local produce used.   Staff were excellent - very helpful and friendly, and the place had a very nice chilled-out atmosphere. The hostel looked a little 'retro' from the outside but inside is modern with very good facilities (what looked to be brand new shower rooms etc).   We arrived early for our stay and the staff did everything to get our accommodation ready.We had a warm welcome from the staff who were all very friendly. We stayed in the Dovecotes which was ample accommodation for my daughters and myself. The property had everything you could need . The weather couldn't have been any b - The facilities are well thought out , the free dvd loans, the pool the out door facilities for the children. The safe enviroment, the restaurant was very welcoming & very good with the children, we got there after reception was closed & were told to go straight to our bungalow where a warm atmosphere greeted us with local radio playing & side lights on. Lovely start to our break.
