The reception staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Service in Carrie's Bar was very good too as was my meal. I had very prompt attention to "fix" the television in my room. - Very comfortable with nice public areas. Rooms big and warm with good bathrooms. Staff attentive and efficient. Couldn't fault it.

Friendly atmosphere but staff did not intrude. The bar at the Hotel was popular with the locals who again were friendly but not intrusive. It was good to see a lively bar at this time with so many places closing. Close to various ancient monuments, white horses and Avebury. Good centre for walking and seeing the Wiltshire countryside. The Horse Guards lived up to its high rating...The room was spacious..spotlessly clean, warm, and comfortable.
Food was good and reasonably priced and hosts were welcoming and friendly.
Lovely quiet spot with country views( and rabbits!)....A perfect spot to relax and unwind and only a few minutes from Tetbury and Malmesbury......IWe absolutely recommend the Horseguards. A+stay.
