The Annexe was a departure from the usual accommodation arrangements. The rooms were small but very comfortable. The check in and breakfast arrangements are a little unconventional and would benefit from a bit more explanation on the website. A number of guests had some difficulty with getting into their rooms. The freedom to come and go after this, however, was terrific.

Good room with large king-sized bed. In room facilities good and wireless internet worked well. Food in the restaurant was good and servings were generous. Reasonable wine by the bottle. Good full English breakfast as part of the room fee. Nice quiet room - no noise soticed from pub next door. Close to Lindisfarne (Holy Island) for a morning visit to fit the tide tables across the causeway.

Neil and Tracey were so friendly and very welcoming. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless and the bed was super comfortable, loads of pillows. The Coach House is situated off the A1 and ideal to visit places in a wide surrounding area. It is a very homely, comfortable place to stay: Tracey and Neil couldn't have been more kind and helpful both in looking after us and recommending places to visit and eat. This included 'The White Swan' at Warenford where the food was particularly good.

The welcome from Dave and Pauline made us feel like long lost friends, despite us turning up 2 hours early we were shown straight to our beautiful room.
The room was bright and clean with beautiful luxury fittings, the attached bathroom equally as good.

Fantastic family home which envelopes you like a big hug when you enter. Dave and Pauline were friendly, full of good advice and very approachable. The room we had overlooked the Simonside Hills, the view was outstanding. It had everything you needed with some very unexpected extras provided by our hosts (corkscrew, wine glasses, wine chiller, luxury toiletries and books). The staff went out of their way to accomodate us. We had to leave early and staff brought the cooked breakfast forward by 30 mins just for us. The food was superb and good value. The beer was good too. Outside there is a pleasant beer garden where you can also eat. The hotel is full of character mixed with all the expected modern conveniences.

A wonderful place for a mini break. There was a wealth of attention to detail. I really enjoyed the food! A real choice of breakfast dishes, including lots of homemade treats such as bread, flapjack, cereal, preserves and even mead! (I didn't have the latter for breakfast ha ha). I loved all the small extras such as everything you may need from shoe polish to hairdryer, even an ironing board and fridge in the room! Used the fridge a bit, the iron not at all; this was a holiday!!!)

husband brought the wrong suit to our sons wedding! Reception staff let

wedding venue.

Lovely, friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. Everything about our stay at Roxbro House was wonderful and we were made to feel at home from the minute we arrived. Fantastic room with a view of the castle and great food too. We have stayed in a lot of hotels and Bed and Breakfasts over the years, but, this was by far the best. Loved it and would definitely recommend Roxbro House to anyone looking for a relaxing break with 5* class.
