The owners were really welcoming and helpful. Helped with the bags and hung up my still damp jacket that I had to wear to the wedding I was going to!!!! Breakfast was lovely and again nothing too much trouble. Really lovely feeling to the place, bedrooms were nicely furnished and beds really comfortable. Really nice place and good value.

A lovely guest house in a unique setting with charming owners. Very comfortable, warm and welcoming. Nothing appeared too much trouble for the lovely owners. This guest house is in a wonderful setting alongside the river Wye in the charming Symonds Yat East.
The guest house was peaceful whilst being close to great walks and wonderful venues for food (try the Saracens!) Our room had an excellent view of the river with its enchanting reflections, and the striking colours of the forest in autumn. This beautiful view was also equaled from the dining room. We found the bed one of the most comfortable we have had in a guest house.Chris & Meryl from D

The room was very nice and clean, the staff were very welcoming and friendly but my favourite aspect of the whole stay was the BREAKFAST!!! It was fantastic!! My Girlfriend and I were a bit worse for wear from a wedding reception, that we attented the previous evening but after eating the delicious breakfast we felt rejuvenated. I can't find words

The Friendliness of the owners, my only regret was, that I could not stay a while longer. Beautiful house. The facilities were excellent, Breakfast was lovely and one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever sleep in. I will be staying there again on my next trip to Hereford.

It was a lovely little place with fantastic service, a superb breakfast, a very pleasant room and absolutely nothing to complain about at all (not that something to complain about what I look for!). The price was very reasonable too (£47pppn for one person in a twin room). I thought it was excellent with unbelievable value for money. I'd definitely stay there again.

The accommodation was clean, elegant and well equipped. It was very comfortable and welcoming. The surroundings were beautiful and relaxing. Following a wonderful nights sleep, breakfast was fantastic and filling. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would recommend applewood mill to anyone. -
Very comfortable and spacious accommodation. A VERY superior B&B suitable for the discerning business traveller who wants peace and quiet. The hosts make you very welcome and provide an excellent breakfast.
