  The location was excellent for the coast and Dartmoor. The hotel has a calm restful atmosphere and this is led by the owners. They are attentive, responding and remembering what has been talked about. A real personal touch. The food is top quality and freshly prepared.   the hotel was superb, the room was very much a 'country house' style and was one of the nicest hotel rooms that I have stayed in. The breakfast was freshly cooked using local produce and the staff were very friendly and helpful.   Positive comments:- Location perfect; hotel, room and staff were excellent, nothing is ever a problem from arrival to departure. Room was a superior - really surprised me contemporary yet old world sophistication. First visit had a gym excellent for me arriving after long trip.
