Great 5 room BandB. Great breakfast, friendly owners, nice, spacious room with a new confortable bed. Easy 10-15 minute walk from the railway station. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone -
The location is a ten minute walk to the centre of York and permits are provided to enable you to park outside the hotel. We had a downstairs bedroom with en-suite very comfortable and because the Farthings is situated in a quiet street this was a benefit of having a good nights sleep. The staff were very friendly and and were helpful in giving local information. The cleanliness of the rooms are spot on and they provided a wonderful menu for breakfast, we would definatley recommend this gem of

We liked the nearness of the City but just out far enough to have a
quiet feel. It was about 15 minutes from railway station so we were able

We thought the suite was beautiful. The bed was so, so comfortable and the layout of the room very much to our liking. The whole suite was "quality". The breakfast was immense and kept us going until early evening. The staff we met were very polite and very attentive. The area outside our suite was very nice but the weather wasn't conducive to sitting outside. I would recommend "Mount Royale" very highly! Convenient to the city and all its attractions.

The pool was superb, good hearty breakfast(full English), only a 20 min walk into town and a hotel with free parking(unusual for York). Nice standard 2 star hotel which was comfortable with every thing working. Really good restaurant too. Found most guest houses charging the same rate and with this hotel i had alot of facilities to use eg Restauran

My husband and I were travelling with our two grown up daughters, and my husband has mobility issues. The Livingstone's were very accommodating by assigning us their main floor room. It was a wonderful room and easy to move around in.
