First of all, the location was extraordinary. The sea (Firth of Forth) is just behind the hotel and you wake up, seeing big steamships and small fisher boats on the water.

Location is perfect. They are installing tram lines in the street but it still has access if you are arriving by car or taxi. Its a short walk to Waverly Station and all main tourist attractions can be reached by foot if you like to walk.
Room was excellent, breakfast was great. Did not try the restaurant at night but menu looked good and fairly priced.
Staff were all very friendly and attentive.

The breakfast was very tasty with lots of choice. Everything was served to your table which was nice but I actually prefer a buffet where you can choose what you want as you eat. ramada jarvis royal mount is the place to stay. pay a little extra and stay in a executive room overlookin edinburgh castle whilst standing on your balcony over lookin princes street. everything was in easy reach and we really enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to go back. edinburgh was the best city we have visited so much better than london. restur
