The Dene Guest House was the perfect choice. Not only I was provided with a clean, spacious and beautifully designed en-suite bedroom with great views but I had as well the valuable help of Ilio and Hamish in every possible aspect (from giving advice on how to spend leisure time to pointing me in the right direction whilst I was looking for a job

Perfect location, close to centre of town. Received a very warm welcome, lovely people running the bed and breakfast in a relaxed, efficient way, they couldn`t have been more helpful. My room was clean, comfortable and had all I needed, the house itself is a beautiful old Edinburgh town house. Fantastic breakfast and I look forward to staying again for my next great night out in the big Toun!

We arrived with our son who is wheelchair bound , and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. She even sent his breakfast up to him on a tray!!! FANTASTIC....The building couldnt have been more central!! All in all, a fantastic budget place to stay in Edinburgh. The owner should be very proud , they do a fantastic job, we loved our stay here.

Morag (the owner) was VERY nice and courteous. She greeted us warmly and seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing each day and how we were enjoying Scotland. Also, her breakfast was great and always waiting. Meats, cheeses, huge croissants, choice of cereals and juices.

I stayed for one night at the Edinburgh Townhouse, and the single room with ensuite was very comfortable. The Townhouse is about a 20 minute walk from Edinburgh, Waverley Rail Station, and situated on castle Street, just off Princes Street. I enjoyed a tasty, continental Breakfast in the morning.

The hotel was in an excellent location, close to shopping area, surrounded by different places to eat, quite close to the castle and old town. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, included possibility to make coffee and tea, there was even a bottle opener attached to the table :) The bed was big and comfortable, bathroom large and clean, the breakfast was simple, but well worth its price. The price was nice and the sleep was good: these are main criteria for a good stay. The hotel itself is ugly, massive, chain-like, but people are okay, walking distance to town attractive, there is a park and a river road, so, I recommend this place!
