  The hotel building was very impressive, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was superb and the food was excellent. Ideally placed for us, as we were attending the March & Rally for Scottish Independence on Calton Hill that weekend. We only stayed two nights and didn't have time to use the spa/pool but it looked really nice. Beautiful room with all the expected facilities. I would recommend to everybody.

  Beautiful hotel with a lovely view of the hillside, quiet location yet close to the city centre. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful.   The staff were extremely helpful and we enjoyed being in the surroundings of the old part of the hotel. It had character as well as having modern facilties. The location was not only ideally central it was also very picturesque being surrounded by the georgian buildings around the square.
