Location good as close to the West End.the price. Connection to the airport within walking distance, shops, bars and restaurants close by.3 flights of stairs and the higher you go the hotter it gets. The reception was tatty. Breakfast was all microwaved. The breakfast was very poor ( 1egg, 1 small link sausage, 1 rasher of bacon, half a potato scone + 1 slice of toast.). Breakfast service was very slow -- possibly the slowest I have ever experienced. Only instant coffee at breakfast. some of the hotel staff are not helpful, no options for the breakfast, no people to help the residents in his laggage once arrival and departure, no access for the car infront of teh hotel. staff/ reception not very friendly. Bathroom could have been cleaner. No extra pillows - bedding not very substantial. The breakfast was really inferior. No muesli, greasy sausages, no pastries, cold toast. The hallway was smelly which is not a good intro. breakfast was very poor. Not option for an evening meal. the Staff were the main issue. Where to start... Firstly I want to mention that I've stayed here twicebefore and the rooms on the first two floors were a lot cleaner withnicer decor than the room we stayed in this time on the top floor.Apparently you get a room on the top floor if you book a cheaper ratethrough the likes of letsbookhotel.com - hardly fair eh?. the comfort and the service. the entrance to the hotel was shabby, the hotel door was locked during the day, no nighttime reception. no teabags in the room, no reception on the tv, no heating in the hotel although there were radiators in the room, the heating was not on, instead we were given a moveable heater with two electric bars.Poor breakfast buffet, poor furnitures in the room, my room was in the first floor and when people started preparing breakfast (at 6:00 am or so) one heard everything (dishes, people talking, etc...). The room was to cold there was no shower (just a bathtub) and the bed had an old boxspring which made the bed uncomfortable.service, food, safety all a real concern. it was the worst hotel i've ever stayed in. Breakfast was cold each morning and served by staff who spoke little english. The spiral staircase only had a rail on one side and in my opinion was a health and safety risk. We stayed 3 nights and though the room itself was clean and comfortable we were only given clean towels once, beds were not made and the bins were not emptied. Payment was taken from my card on arrival without my knowledge.
