I was pleasantly surprised that they had a 24-hour bar, which was a bonus for a late-night drink when we came back. I am not usually a fan of Holiday Inn's, but this one is exceptional. The staff are friendly, the rooms clean and modern, the WiFi isnt expensive, the food is good, and the breakfast is very tasty,.The location is first class. The location is very good, near the boat museum which is well worth a visit and also the boat trip excursion. The staff were very helpful and the hotel had a nice relaxing feeling about it. The three course evening meal deal was good value for money. There is also the use of a gym and sauna.

The look of the building is every inviting.. Welcome when i arrived was friendly and very warm.
The size of the room i booked.
The huge car park meant my car was safe.
The helpfullness of the staff,even getting an extra heater for our room(it would have been fine for us but my 12 week old son was complaining).
The pub and food downstairs was reasonably priced and tastey,and full of locals.
The bed was super comfy.
The security;we had a room key,corridor key and frobt door key. I felt safe here.

The accommodation was spacious ,very comfortable bed and bathroom new. Wonderful shower .Staff exceptionally helpful and pleasant. Breakfast excellent plenty of choice. Very friendly and attentive staff.
Room was small but clean and tidy, the bathroom was also very small but it still met all my needs for the two nights I was there.
Despite being a weekend it was quiet around the rooms and I wasn't disturbed. I was able to access wifi in my room which wasn't expected and may not be the case for all but was a bonus

Staff were excellent. Couldn't do enough for us.Provided us with full english even though we came down half an hour after published breakfast time !! Breakfast was good. Historic building sympathetically converted to hotel. Beautiful rooms with a lot of art deco features. Extremely comfortable. Staff brilliant - nothing too much trouble for them and all done very willingly with smile. They all knew the history of the hotel and were able to answer all questions. We were very well looked after. -
