  Location was excellent, a very very short walk from the Puerta del Sol. Very very very good value for the price. Place was clean, and everything worked fine. Staff was very hospitable.   Although the hostel have simple furniture and no breakfast, we still feel comfortable to stay in this hostel since good values of the price. The location is right in the city center, and it has lots of restaurants, stores and attractions. All the distances you can reach just by walking. He speaks English with a Spanish accent, a little bit diffic - I've stayed at many hostels all around Spain by now, about 4 of them in Madrid alone, and this was by far one of THE best service we've ever had. Super clean. The price for the location is unbeatable. The Wifi was great. Outstanding service by attendant who assisted us. At one point I forgot my cell phone on the couch in the little lobby and he picked it up and left in our room with a note. How he knew it was ours, no idea. (Maybe process of elimination.) But so glad he did! Will definitely go

  Hostal Mendoza is located in perfect place: next to the central street of Madrid - Gran Via and Puerta del Sol, where you can take the tourist- bus and travel all over the city. Our double-room on the second flour was always clean, the furniture and bathroom (with all the accessories) were new, we had even flat TV-set and the balcony. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to do everything to make our stay perfect. Was concerned a "hostal" might not be up to scratch but it was like any other 3 star accommodation. Room was large with fairly new ensuite and very comfy beds. There was nothing we didn't like and would definitely stay again.

  I liked how the room that I got was exactly what was shown in the pictures on the web site. I also liked that the staff speak good English and that they are very helpful. Also, it is centrally-located and just a few minutes' walk from Callao Metro station. I especially liked how clean and neat the room was and that they gave me my request -- to ha... что говорят » ve a room with a window, as I can get very claustrophobic with rooms without one. - I should say this is a perfect Hostal! Location is perfect, 5 minutes to Sol station or Gran Via! Staff are sooo nice and helpful, giving me a lot of advice and help me resolve the problem of travel adapter! And also need to mention, the design and decoration of the room, surprised and considerate and sweet! With the price and location, I do think this Hostal deserves highly recommended.

  The personnel was very friendly, I was very sick during my stay and they took care of me, were speaking english and french very well. I will go back there with no doubt! The location is great, so close to metro and to la latina, plaza del sol, small fresh market... There was also a mini fridge in the room which i thought was really awesome,as many premises of that level don't seem to include such services.
