I have stayed at thisw hotel numerous times over the past 15 years. I like the fact it is an apartment with a small kitchen, a spacious living room, adequate bedroom and a bath. We liked the fact that we felt independent - that we could do our own thing and not be restricted by meal times etc. The Plaza Basilica was booked to allow us to get to the Bernabeu and in to the city centre and in this respect it proved an admirable choice. We would undoubtedly choose it again for a similsr trip.

The Hotel was just like the reviews we´d read. It was clean, comfortable, quiet and staff friendly and helpful. Being so close to the Metro meant travelling into the center of Madrid was easy. Location was perfect. 5 minutes walk from the Grand Via Metro. Reception 24hrs. Maria (the host) was very friendly and helpful. Hostal Hispano takes WiFi seriously! It is strong and reliable . My room (220) was nice, spacious and quiet. Very clean and lots of fresh white towels. There's a coffee and refreshments machine in the lobby. The area were the hostel is located is terrific. My compliments to the sweet staff.

The room and the bathroom were very clean. All days the towels were changed. It's perfect for people who wants to visit the city and needs only of a place for sleep. The lady of the reception gave to me the keys of the room and of the main entrance so I could enter in the hostel when I want without ring the bell of the hostel. -
