The hotel has excellent public and private onsen. Food was great and staff very helpful and friendly. It was s bit on the expensive side but then we paid for quality. From the moment we drove to the hotel driveway to checking out, the service provided was par excellent! We left behind a blazer and some clothings when we checked out and the staff

overall one the best hotels I stayed in Japan so far -
After a minor problem we where conducted to a suberb room, extremely well conceived, a room not only big, but with a wonderful view from the living room and the bathroom. The kitchen is fully furnished, we had breakfast in the morning sitting in a very nice veranda. An Hakodate is a place to visit. Finally, the hotel is extremely well located, in between the station and the historical district.

We were very surprised about the quality of both the dinner and breakfast buffet. We were expecting mediocre, standard tourist fare so we were very happy that the food was much better. The tofu served for breakfast was sublime!

Chalet Ivy Hotel is a beautiful building in Kutchan; the room is very new, clean and modern; we can see a peace and beautiful Mt. Yotei from the room; the bed are soft and comfortable, all staffs can speak a good standard English, they are friendly and helpful.
