  I can honestly say that the Oberoi Grand in Kolkata provides the best service we have ever experienced in a hotel (and we have stayed in many 5 star hotels all over the world.)   We were treated very nicely by the staff at Peerless Inn. And we got our room on arrival even though it was very early Sunday morning. Every one at the hotel was very helpful and kind to us.   I have stayed at a few of the older top hotels in Kolkata and found their facilities limited and pretentious and staff continually begging for tips. The Sonnet was wonderfully different, the staff were fantastically helpful, the rooms immaculate and the cost fair. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.   We had spent some time travelling around West Bengal for three weeks prior to our stay so the easy greeting and check in was great. All the staff that we spoke to seemed genuinely concerned about whether or not we were enjoying our stay.
