Staff was very friendly. Met what we though was the maintenance/housekeeper when i asked for help with luggage as my wife had handsful with kids. But found out from the desk agent that it was the manager. I have never seen a manager work all day and night and he made sure we had everything we needed and made sure we had an excellent stay. We loved the ambience! There was a young man playing the sax right under
our window when we arrived and it was magical. When we entered the room
there was a wood smell from the fireplace. It was heaven! We totally
enjoyed our stay. -

We arrived fairly late and had a bite to eat and a drink in the pub downstairs. Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

I really liked how they stored my suitcase before check in so I could do my work and same thing after I checked out. I didn't have to pack my luggage to a business meeting. Also the convenience of the location being right downtown Victoria almost next to the museum and archives was a tremendous bonus. I liked how they put me in a room on the 14th floor which gave me the best views ever.

Ok People are freaking out way too much about this hotel, probably
travellers who are looking for a luxury resort for very little money.
The place was clean, had good staff, and cheap. I got a king size bed, all to myself :P The staff at night was awesome and made sure everything was safe.

The rooms, although old, were very clean and comfortable. It was within easy walking distance to tourist attractions. The gentleman on the desk was very friendly and knowledgeable about Victoria. An enjoyable stay!

Very nice location ( the castle is just right behind the BB); very welcoming host; nicely decorated room (French style); and the highlight is the dinning area and the self cooking kitchen. Firstly, one needs to compare the day rate between the Empress and the
Inn. The Empress is only a few blocks away, free parking, free wi-fi,
also doesn't have air conditioning....and is almost $300 more a day.
As I didn't need to spend a lot of time in my room, the size
didn't matter. However, security and cleanliness was key and the Inn
met those very well. The restaurant is excellent. The staff very
