The building itself is magnificent - harks back to a more refined time. We were a group of 5 "mature" college girlfriends, having our every-other-year reunion. en route to Hawaii. Given room upgrade not quite a suite but corner room views both ways. Biggest chocolate strawberrys/and cake and cream ive ever seen as a special gesture and free. staff and conciege extra polite and helpful.As previous comments this is a luxury standard by which all others should be judged the besr hotel we have stayed in and weve stayed in some top ones. the hotel is steeped in history take the trouble to enquire????

LOVED the setup - new and fresh interior, comfortable beds, wonderful kitchen, everything for a classy home away from home. Concierge staff were excellent and the location was brilliant - easy access to the Metro, easy to walk to the Smithsonian Museums or the Capitol Building. Everything exceeded out expectations... - Mark delivered as promised. Everything was sparkling clean with all we needed for a great visit.. The staff was very helpful and the roof-top with views of the Capitol was a sweet place to relax while having dinner.

It was terrific. Staff very very welcoming and friendly. Facilities (like the coffee station and free WiFi) were excellent. Breakfast was great - loads of choice and the packed breakfast option was really of benefit on the morning I had to leave the hotel early. Location was terrific to see all the sights of DC. The common areas were quite comfortable and spacious. Rachel in the breakfast area was very polite and efficient. She could have used some help from additional staff on Sunday morning. On Monday, the manager was assisting her with keeping up with the food demands of the guests. The rooms were spacious, quiet and very comfortable.

Great location. Park the car and forgot it for a week. With the Metro station right under the hotel, getting around was perfect - never had to worry about parking.
Hotel was clean, kid friendly and absolutely perfect. The free breakfast and the manager's reception each night? Great for keeping on a budget, especially with young kids. -

Everything!!! The hotel had a great location, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, great value for money (compared to the other hotels we used on our 5 week holiday in the US) and the room was well set-out, clean and very comfortable. I didn't what to leave.....this hotel is a 10 out of 10. Keep up the great work.... -

The room was clean, nicely decorated and pretty much perfect. We were able to walk to dinner and home from the theater, and in the morning took a stroll by the White House. Awesome!
