Well maintained hotel. Extremely friendly staff - allowed me to check in early. Beautiful setting on the river, convenient to Rocky Mtn National Park. Nice, large room with couch in sitting area. Small balcony off the back of the room - made for a nice cross breeze. Fridge in room was nice for keeping snacks and drinks. Nice selection of complimentary snacks and homemade cake in lobby. hope to return again soon.

The location is great, very close to town without being in the middle of the crowds. The rooms were clean, comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. That said, what puts the Maxwell Inn over the top is the care and attention of Phil and Dana. This place is great!! You can't beat being able to walk down town instead of having to find a parking space. The staff is amazing, the rooms are very clean and it's reasonably priced! We love staying here, and will never stay anywhere else!

letsbookhotel.com did not the the rooms correct. We were looking to stay in a
suite and the lodge does not have a suite. All the rooms have a
different floor plan as well but, the caretaker was more than happy to
take care of us and even lowered our rate!

This is a really great value. It's not fancy, but it is CLEAN and the surprisingly spacious. The continental breakfast has everything you might want and although I know the managers didn't do this on purpose, I thought it was so cool that when we came out for breakfast, there was a wild elk just hanging out on the grass area.
