The hotel (actually it is an apartment) is located between two metro
stations and close to the city center. The staff was friendly and gave
us another room with balcony upon request (please check in advance that
you get one, they have only two rooms available). Actually this rooms
are much bigger than the others. We paid 20 uah for WiFi for the whole
stay, but the internet speed is pretty poor.

Beyond my expectations! The room exactly looks like photos shown on the
website. Staff has lack of understanding English but were helpful on any
kind of issue. WiFi works great. 10 minutes walk to Ukraina shopping
mall. Cab will cost $5-10 to take you to down town.

Due to "technical reasons" we were given another flat at Senator Apartment Maidan instead. We were offered a bigger flat for the same price, and they even called (and paid) a taxi for us to get there. Our new flat was awesome, much nicer than expected, and in a perfect location, central but quiet and safe. Everything was just fine, hot water all day long, wi-fi working without problems, nicely-equipped kitchen, and comfy bed. Perfect service and very good value for money. Highly recommended!

The managers were very helpful and friendly. They and the staff spoke decent English. The taxi drivers they hired were very friendly and spoke very good English. Plus, their rates were reasonable. My studio apartment was modern, comfortable, quiet and very secure. I also liked the fact they are located in a nice, busy part of the city.

The Boatel is a charming change from run-of-the-gun hostels, especially if you can get a river-side cabin. It is well appointed, beautiful and tasteful design that makes the stay delightful. English speaking receptionist Anastasia was very helpful, and the other receptionists did their best with limitations in English. We will stay there again! -

Boatel st. Andre was a fantastic base for our stay in Kiev. The rooms are big and beatiful. The common areas (breakfast restaurant and library) are really nice. The staff is friendly - especially one of the staffmembers speak fluent english which is really neat.

I highly recommend that you stay at Staryi Kiev. The Staff "Natacha" was very friendly. When I arrived I've been told that the hot water was not working at the whole building, so they transferred me to another apartment close by. If you are looking for good value of money, great location, and very clean apartment then Staryi Kiev is your best choice.
