Huge choice and excellent quality. Dining room is modern and there was a good atmosphere at breakfast time. Staff were efficient and friendly. Our budget room was clean and cofortable. Perfect for our stay. Limited parking on the premises but lots of free and unrestricted parkining across the road.

The room was lovely and clean and despite its small size, had
everything you needed-TV, dvd player, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner,coffee-
making facilities. The bed was super comfortable and the room was
kept clean throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious-we had both

Leigh, the owner, was fabulous she was very accommodating, beautiful
accommodation. Fab location, within walking distance of two towns. She
covered all the bases re local information and was fab value for money.
We didn't fancy full English so continental breakfast served to our
room was a lovely treat and included in room price, lovely touch. We
will be visiting again.

My partner and I stayed at The Ravensworth 24-28 March and all i can say it what a lovely hotel. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. the hostress, Phillipa (hope I didn't wrongly spell her name) was very kind. She welcomed us with delicious tea and cookies, and provided us some milk and cereal when she heard we had to catch up an early train and would miss the breakfast - hmm, the breakfast was quite good here. The room was clean and cozy, enough space and we even saw a deer outside the window. Overall it was really nice stay, I could understand why this guesthouse could get such a high rating.

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and I also found that the recommendations of places to eat and sites to see were superb. I would definately stay again and strongly encourage others to do so. An all round excellent hotel which is perfect for a stay in the beautiful surrounding area.

Worth every penny - a fantastic small hotel
It snowed heavily during our stay and the staff even cleared the snow from our car - We stayed in the Bowness suite and it was beautiful, we could not fault a thing at this place, will return soon

The property is very well maintained , comfortable and warm. It is ideally situated as a base for visiting the area.The welcome and attention from Dick and Sue was second to none . They were both very friendly, helpful and definitely added considerably to our enjoyment of our stay in the area.We stayed with elderly parents who have limited mobility and they were made very welcome .The stairs to the rooms on the first floor presented little problem to them.We have no hesitation in recommending
