A warm sincere greeting by the owners on arrival set the tone for our stay. Lovely room , well dressed and furnished.En-suite more than roomy enough and fit for purpose, which isn't always the case with guest houses we've used in the past. Location is peaceful, and in a nice area. Pleasant and friendly staff could not be more helpful, and the breakfast sets you up for the day, truly a treat!! Private parking at the back of the house (free), is a bonus. We both rate Ascot House as being as good

Perfect location for walking in the Dales, especially if you want to completely forget about wind/rain etc once you're done trekking. Food was excellent, good drinks selection and by far the nicest place to eat or drink in Settle backed up with great staff! Really spacious rooms, very clean and well furnished. -

Had a great stay at Burswood Guest House, the attention to detail was first class, down to dressing gowns, slippers, chocolates and real napkins (not the usual paper serviettes) The breakfast was excellent a great selection of fruit and a lovelly cooked breakfast. What a fantastic place to stay! This was a two night treat weekend at the races for my father in law and did he get a treat, as we did also! It was like staying in a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was better than most top business hotels I have stayed in across Europe. The attention to detail in the bedrooms and the dining room was fantastic. George the owner is a lovely guy and the service is second to none.

We couldn't fault our stay at grassington house. The room was beautiful, as was the hotel itself. The staff were welcoming and attentive, we felt very well looked after!
The food in the restaurant was absolutely fabulous...we enjoy eating out & this was one of the best meals we've had in a while.

Staff very nice and friendly, english breakfast was lovely. Bedroom had everything we needed and bed very comfortable. Drive up to the Inn saw a tawny owl, badger, rabbits and sheep all over the place. Ten minutes away in Pickering had the best Indian Cuisine I have ever tasted.

Tudor house is a refurbished railway station and is beatifully placed away from the hustle and bustle in the countryside. we were welcomed like old friends and shown to our beautifully furnished room complete with chandelier! The breakfast was gorgeous, fresh farm eggs and anything that you could have wished for including fresh figs. The honesty bar is a good idea and the lounge perfect for sitting in at the end of the day to relax.

It was the cleanest East Coast resorts I've seen. There were people picking up litter all day long.
The hotel staff didn't bug us. It was very quiet on a night and we had a few channels on the tv. The hotel had a nice size on suite shower. Plenty of towels. Tea and coffee and Kettle in the room.

The rooms are generously proportioned and the staff couldn't have done enough for us. The breakfasts are excellent. Location of the hotel to York was good and only a 20minute walk or three minute taxi ride away. All in all we had a great weekend and would readily recommend The Limes to anyone.

Spotlessly clean and very comfortable, traditional (working) sash windows, reasonably spacious given ‘squeezed’ into what used to be the servants quarters, with a wonderful view to the westerly rear of mature stands of beech trees, long established hedging and nicely kept lawn. A lovely room (Fountains), very well executed stylish decor and quality furniture, spotlessly clean with a large, comfortably appointed and finished en suite bathroom and a great view of the beautiful location and grounds set in a valley in Dalby Forest. Wide choice of breakfast goodies the, cooked options where superb. Staying here was a real pleasure, a rare combination of wonderful hosts and an exceptional house
