Maggie greeted us with a lovely welcome and after showing us our room made us a big pot of tea with home made biscuits which was served in the sitting room. Breakfast was excellent - a real farmhouse breakfast and relaxed. It was lovely to sit with the other guests round a big farmhouse table. Unfortunately we were in a rush as we were off to a christening but we would have loved to have lingered longer. The room was really well appointed and the bed comfortable - we both had an excellent night

Wow! What a little gem, set just off the main square in Layburn making it an ideal location to explore the area. Our room was exceptionally clean, beautifully furnished and presented to a very high standard, with amazing views on two sides over the beautiful Yorkshire country side. Lynn and her husband were lovely, friendly helpful hosts. The selection for breakfast was excellent, tasty and well presented. Having stayed in many hotels and guest houses this one certainly stands out as a winner.

Beautifully decorated room - peaceful, romantic, clean and new. Lovely quiet setting. The owners were fantastic and very friendly. Me and my boyfriend got engaged during our stay, and celebrated my 30th birthday so it was a very special occasion. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The breakfasts, including the vegetarian sausages cooked to order were very tasty too! Would highly recommend Warren House.
