  The exceptional friendliness of the young staff was a joy to behold. They were clearly very proud to work at the Raithwaite and nothing was ever too much trouble. The welcome and help on arrival and the service in the restaurants at both dinner and breakfast were first class. We were accommodated in the separate new 'wing - In addition to the facilties one would expect from a hotel in this category, I was treated as if I was a relative of the staff, I really mean that. Being on my own, without overstepping the bounds of professionalism, they went out of their way to be accommodating, It was unfortunate that I needed a Doctor during my stay. This was arranged by Sian with the care of a daughter. The restaurant manager of the Keep was equally sincere and interested in his guests. This isnot often the case in a Spa r

  This is an exceptional hotel. Staff will do everything to make your stay welcome. We were totally relaxed from the minute we arrived and our bags were collected from the car and taken to our room.   Upgrade to top suite, much appreciated. Impeccable, top notch service. Good car parking facilities. Convenient short cab ride into York city centre, also good for racecourse. - Everything. Stayed in the courtyard area and it was delighful. The room was fantastic. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Certainly will be going back there again.
