  This was the second time staying at this hotel. The owners are friendly and courteous and the facilities are what you would expect of a hotel with a much higher star rating. We stayed in a self catering room on this occasion and found it to have everything we needed for a wonderful stay.   Beautiful surroundings. Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. A real treat. - can't fault it. a fantastic hotel in a fantastic location. the attention to detail for is great, champagn on arrival, umbrella and welly boots for country walks, loads of facilities. the complimentary wine tasting is a great way to start your evening.

  Our favourite hotel on our trip.We booked a small room with en suite and it was very comfortable. The location of the hotel was brilliant, right on the harbour. Food was great, people were friendly and a very relaxed attitude. We loved Ilfracombe itself, so much to do and see. Plenty on offer for all types of people. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely breakfast and huge portions. Nothing was too much trouble and even carried our bags up to our room when we said we could manage. Highly recommend paying the extra for a luxury room, the spa bath was fantastic size with plenty of hot water and room for two! Also the huge bed was straight out of fifty shades and really comfy.
