  The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was off the main street, so it was fairly quiet and peaceful - even on the rowdy Friday and Saturday nights. It was ideally placed for Headingley cricket and rugby grounds. - Attentiveness of staff. Quality of furnishings and decor. Excellent food and service.

  We were so happy with this hotel. It's a charming building staffed by friendly helpful people. Our room was good sized, clean and comfortable--very good value for the money. We enjoyed the cooked breakfast and eating in the hotel restaurant which drew a good crowd of locals on Saturday night. The neighborhood is very convenient with shops and pubs... o que as pessoas dizem » and well served by the bus lines going to the University and downtown.We had to unexpectedly extend our stay by one night and the hotel staff couldn' - We loved the look of the hotel as we booked in. The staff were friendly and made a fuss of the children. On entering our room we were thrilled with the character feature furniture alongside modern features, such as tall headboard and flatscreen tv. The bathroom was immaculate and very modern, with shower and bath. The two easy chairs were lovely to sink into after a busy day and we came away feeling that we all want to return to Haley's again one day!

  We needed to a hotel within the area and had not stayed at Weetwood Hallbefore. The facilities were superb and the cleanliness was of a highstandard throughout. However, the attitude of the staff was excellent -nothing was too much trouble and they were welcoming and friendly.   The welcome was great and the receptionist was very helpful, giving us a map, showing directions and telling us about 'extras', such as the Christmas market. We also liked the fact that TGI Fridays was attached(!) even though we didn't realise we could go straight through from the hotel!   I arrived about 12.30am in the morning, but the staff were very helpful & friendly, as I needed to park in the hotel carpark across the road. The room was tastefully decorated & relaxing. The bed was large & comfortable.There was a coffee machine & hot drink making facilities. A nice touch was the fresh milk in the fridge. The bed was amazing, hotel and restaurant had great decor and atmosphere. We stayed the week before in the Novotel Leeds which was £24 dearer and nowhere near the same standard, we would choose The New Ellington every time.
