  What a gem! First of all, the location was magnificent! I wish we could have stayed so much longer. The room and bath were huge and so very comfortable. The shower was amazing and that from two very spoiled Americans! The food and service in the restaurant were exceptional. Yes, the hotel is on sort of a major "highway" but really, who cares? - Yours is a terrific hotel. The position by the bridges is marvellous.(great walks, history, spectacular scenery). The room decor is highly original - the most stylish I've seen in 25 years of visiting over 70 countries (I'm a lecturer in Tourism Studies). The service was exceptional e.g. my car broke down and the lovely hotel receptionist hung on the line for 15 minutes to book the AA to fix it. I arrived at 1.00 a.m. off the boat, but there was a personable night manager who'd waited up to ch
