The room we had was quite basic and a bit older, but had everything we needed and was comfortable, with fresh towels and linens, and a nice view into the town. Also, the staff was friendly and helpful, with Florence (the girl checking us in) showing us around the property, showing us the parking and giving us some information and tips about the area and even offering us a nice drink while we checked-in. Also the owner, Arno, was very friendly and helped us with some plans and offered great tips.
todos opiniões » Excellent location; smack in the middle of the town center. The owner (arno Zacharias who looks like a rock star) & his staff were all accommodating & professional. They helped me plan small trips in & around stunning Stellenbosch. Ah, everybody should not miss the wine route! Room was kept immaculate. Breakfast was adequate. Arno was kind enough to offer me a lift back to the train station for capetown. Thanks! I will definitely stay here again. I really liked the welcoming spirit. We got a half price deal via letsbookhotel.com so the value for money was more than 100% Very basic room very clean but great location, doesn't require any drive to great local restaurant and supermarket. Very young surrounding as it is close to university. Arno, our host, went out of his way to make things work well. The room was very conveniently located in town and easy to find. The breakfast was served in the downstairs coffee shop which was airy and also attracted interesting locals. Great location and excellent staff and really good value for money, I certainly would consider making further bookings at this venue on my next trip to Stellenbosch. Dstv & wi-fi availability. Exellent location. The building is older, so there are some little things, like that the doors to the room, the balcony and the downstairs were a bit difficult to close. Also, it wasn´t a problem for us, but there were some steep stairs to get to the room – can be difficult if you have heavy bags. All positive comments. Wifi worked not as well as hoped but we managed. A bit noisy, facing the road. The breakfast could have been a bit more generous but for the price we paid, we were pretty happy. The plugs looked a bit dangerous as we saw a bit of spark trying to plug our things. No front desk (or we never saw one) so no one around to ask anything. I have no complaints. Unfortunately rather noisy during the night with trucks and people passing by . Then early morning with the cafe below. My stay was to short. Parking was miles away. Very steep set of stairs to get to office area and rooms. No ground floor reception area. Electricity plugs and connections serious safety hazard. Power went off twice in the morning. Quite noisy traffic wise. Breakfast menu should not be limited. Cap an amount of spending and allow guests to pay in the difference where applicable. cockaroach. Waited long for them to come and open up disorganized breakfast not very organized coffee machine not working. Bathroom taps where dripping and the bathroom was one day flooded after cleaners left laundry in the basin. Coffee in the room was only once replaced during the stay of four nights. Considering the cost of the accommodation - the choice for breakfast was very limited. Visitors using other rooms in the facility created disturbances at 03:00 at night. It was old and not maintained. It smelled fuggy. Building is old, but not cared for: in bad repair. Everything is almost broken. Setup,no aircon, not comfy bed and facilities. Shower not working, TV not working, Dirty,No service,Insecure locks only small towels available, difficult to find. All in all terrible experience.
