  Old world charm, lovely furniture, the oh so comfy bed, the decanter of port in each room, the location. Just the perfect retreat for Aucklanders without needing to travel out of Auckland (we could have been anywhere in the world!) and for visitors - excellent quality and attention to detail.   We found the facilities immaculate and the owner fastidious. We had two wonderful breakfasts. The location was a good one for views and also for walking to important attractions like the Auckland museum. Restaurants recommended by our hosts were really good.
