The man who runs the guest house speaks very good English. He and his wife are doing a great job running this hostel.
I find the location perfect because right next to the station, so easy to access with the bags. Nara isn't a big city so it's totally fine to walk to the spots. There is also a very cheap store right next door and many places to eat around the corner.

A budget hostel with a cheap price, clean facilities and nice beds in the dorms.

The bathroom is a little bit far from the bedroom but I only stayed 1 night so it was ok.
wifi is a bit low.
washroom, restroom and bedrooms are seperated, a little bit unconvenient~.
as any hostel you need to be lucky when getting your roomies for the night. I was not. it is an older house, that is hard to heat up in the colder season, and if there is someone constantly leaving the doors open you wont get a good night sleep.
The toilet is located only in the first floor, which means that you don't want to use it at night if you sleep on the 2-nd floor.
Breakfast was very modest, so I would not go for it.
