The completely non-smoking Guest House Narabiyori is a 7-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Train Station and offers simple Japanese-style accommodation with shared showers in a renovated traditional building. A free-use kitchen, rental bicycles and a coin launderette are available.
Guests at Narabiyori House sleep in Japanese futon bedding, either on a bunk bed frame in a dormitory room or on a tatami (woven-straw) floor in a private room. All rooms are air-conditioned, and linens are offered at a surcharge.
JR Nara Train Station is a 15-minute walk away, and Todai-ji Temple is 1.7 km away. Nara park is about a 25-minute walk away.
Free tea and hot water are provided at the lounge, which has free Wi-Fi access. Guests can store luggage at the front desk with prior request (1 day in advance). All guests must leave the property from 10:00-16:00 while the guest house is cleaned.

It was cozier than I expect it to be! The owner is super friendly and helpful. Great experience of living in traditional japanese home with kotatsu! Will definitely come back and stay here should I come to visit Nara.

I really like the idea of having a drink night once a month with guests
and staff. Luckly I was there on that night and made lots of good
friends. There were regular guests who are actually living locally, and

The owner needs to work hard learning to speak in English because I believe more and more foreign travellers will come and stay. All the best!.
It was very small.
well if you have a room for yourself it will be really loud until 23:00 or so (during the week)
which is okay i guess if you dont want to sleep earlier
but tons of people come to visit the hostel and talk really loud.
There was a confusion regarding payments. I also didn't know that
payment had to be made up front and by cash. It was hard for me because
I thought I could pay by credit card so as the result, I ended up with
short of cash in Nara.
