  Hotel Martino is located on the coast on the outskirts of Maratea, Italy. It is a great little budget hotel with amazing views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and they spoke a little English. They had a restaurant "on site" and offered a continental breakfast included with your stay. (Just be sure to go during the "summer" season starting on June 1st - more amenities!) - Great location and close to restaurants for dinner. There is one attached to the hotel which makes it convenient but if you want something other than seafood you may have to find another place to eat. Breakfast was included and it was a great way to start the day. The town of Maratea is close by as well as other sites that are quite and beautiful. Would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a spot a little off the beaten path.

  We opened the shutters in our room to see a superb view of the famous sassi of Matera. The staff at reception went out of their way to help us check the details of the next leg of our journey and the friendliness we received left us with just a desire to return soon.   Very hospitable hosts, very good accommodation across the street from their restaurant, where excellent breakfasts were served. It was a good experience to stay in the centre of Matera.   Amazing cave room - absolutely HUGE! Believe this was the best room and it certainly had the wow factor and provided a unique experience. Lovely outside terrace too.Staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was delicious and generous. De-humidifiers essential though - it had rained and the humidity in the room was quite high but what do ... o que as pessoas dizem » you expect from a cave! A fabulous experience and would highly recommend a trip to this amazing place. - The location in the centre of Sassi is perfect. The amenities were excellent, we did not want for anything and outstanding views right in front of the Hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our thanks especially go to Chiara and Cinzia.

  We enjoyed this spot immensely. It was September, and we were the only guests. The two staff that served us were fantastic. As mentioned on other reviews, they treated us the same. This village is amazing, as are the views. From our room we could see the mountains but not the rest of the village. - Castelm. is a wonderful place to stay.   This is a gem, staff delightful, rooms great, food excellent and reasonably priced. The hotel is not by the sea, but has an excellent pool. The area is fasinating, particularly when we were there in May. We stayed one night but would have liked to stay longer. - Staff very helpful and charming.
