Maybe not that good value for money compared to other cities, but generally the cities around lago como are expensive, so in that respect the price is okay. There is also a very nice restaurant in the same building, with a nice garden view, good food, and wonderful service. The owner was wonderful.   One of my best (and unique) stays throughout my month-long journey in Italy in May. I was really glad I had the whole apartment myself - it made me feel at home and it was so cozy there. I was also impressed with the hospitality of the owner (and her family). Happy Days opened 6 months ago and everything is so new and nice. Everythin - We like everything! The apartments are situated in a living district, very quiet and comfortable, 10min from the city center. There is a bus station near the house. The apartments itself are very spacious and nice, right the same as it shown on pics! Every day we had a sweet breakfast (big choice of different pastries, muesli, juice and milk, coffee, tea).   The location is good, we can see the Duomo from our room window. Cross the street is the markets where you can shop for many good stuff from food to clothes. The lake is just 5 min walk away. The room is comfortable. The wall is a bit thin but it seems to be pretty common in Italy. We were lucky that our neighbors are quiet at bed time. We shared a bathroom with others on our floor, 2 other rooms. We were referred to a restaurant close by that gave a discount for hotel guests. Excellent place, great food! Very close to town center and across the street from the Duomo in Como.
