We picked this hotel at random on the way back from Turkey and Rastatt was about the right distance from San Marino. The owners of the hotel made us very welcome so we decided to eat in their restaurant. The food and drinks were excellent and priced very reasonably. The accommodations were great! Basic, but all one needs. VERY clean and comfortable. We were very happy to have our breakfast included. The food was ample and fresh. And a bonus for us, the restaurant prepared amazing evening meals. It was great to come "home" at the end of the day, enjoy a great meal, with wine or beer and not have to drive to a hotel.

This hotel is off the beaten track but that makes it quiet. I stayed for 7 nights in November and never had a problem with noisy neighbors or traffic. It is located close to public transport stops which made it convenient for me to get anywhere I wanted to go. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices at the best price I experienced in my Germany vacation. Casual atmosphere, clean and cozy.

We loved the hotel which was situated on the Rein and easy access to all the attactions. The owners our a delightful couple, who lived in Canada for 8 years and speak perfect English. Romance?! This hotel is it. You are literally on bank of the Rhine River. The room my in-laws had had a window out to the bridge in one direction and down the Rhine the other. Our room overlooked the bridge. Wow. Everything was spot-on perfect and just what we needed to wrap up a perfect Swiss vacation. The hotel restaurant was closed on Monday night so we ate at Gasthaus Hirschen in Gailingen. The German food was excellent.
