The hotel was in a wonderful location right in the centre of Blois but with easy parking nearby. When we booked, the proprietor sent a personal email welcoming us and this was typical of the whole style of the hotel which was friendly, cheerful and welcoming. The hotel is in an old, very characterful building said to have belonged originally to the Dukes of Guise, and the owners have kept a lot of character while making sure that it is comfortable and modern where it needs to be. Used as an overnight stop travelling to Spain. Although situated on within a commercial area it was easy to find a short distance from the main road. It was quiet and comfortable and while not luxury it was good value for money being I consider budget hotel. Staff were attentive and although english speaking welcomed our attempted french! Pets all

Room was better than expected for price. Very clean, functional and spacious enough for family of five. The 'family room' is effectively two adjoining rooms to sleep 3. Each contains a double bed and top bunk bed overhead. Shower/toilet is basic but perfectly usable cabin unit within the room.

Family owned travel hotel, great location when travelling through
France and stopping over at night. Family room for us six. Simple hotel
on roadside location, budget, clean, friendly and helpful owners. Good
quali bed and shower in room. Dog allowed which was great and also Wifi
in room was perfect. Tip, try the Pat-a-pain nearby for breakfast, it
is amazing!

How special a place! A really beautiful setting and lovely gardens. Dinner was very reasonably priced and presented beautifully. We had a large room in the Chateau overlooking the gardens and it was everything I hoped it would be. Wouldn't hesitate in going back. We were only there one night so didn't venture out but everything we needed was available. Just beautiful.

A the end of a long journey being met by Christophe and ushered to the lovely swimming pool to cool off was wonderful. The chateau was beautiful in large gardens which were child friendly and boisterous boys were not curtailed in noisy and extensive games of hide and seek. We were only booked in overnight on our way to Calais from Carcassonne. We arrived after a 7 hour drive so a dip in the outdoor heated pool was a welcome and rejuvenating experience. The house is very romantic and charming and set in its own grounds so it is perfectly child friendly. Our hosts were extremely friendly and spoke perfect English. Very charming chateau outside of Onzain. The chateau keepers could not
have been kinder or more accommodating. Our French was not strong at
all, and they very kindly helped translate a menu for us at a very nice
restaurant they recommended in the neighboring town to celebrate our
anniversary. They also called the restaurant to make the reservation

The Loire castles are beautiful and visiting them is a pleasure.
I stayed 3 days but I could have stayed a week. So much to see.
Do not forget to visit the caves and do some wine tasting.
