The hotel was in a wonderful location right in the centre of Blois but with easy parking nearby. When we booked, the proprietor sent a personal email welcoming us and this was typical of the whole style of the hotel which was friendly, cheerful and welcoming. The hotel is in an old, very characterful building said to have belonged originally to the Dukes of Guise, and the owners have kept a lot of character while making sure that it is comfortable and modern where it needs to be. We had a young child with us and the staff provided a brand new cot thatwe put up in the room. We liked the location and friendliness so muchthat we booked again for our return trip. - Far from gorgeous but well facilitated for family with small children. Friendly staffs. Casual restaurant. Easy free parking.

Used as an overnight stop travelling to Spain. Although situated on within a commercial area it was easy to find a short distance from the main road. It was quiet and comfortable and while not luxury it was good value for money being I consider budget hotel. Staff were attentive and although english speaking welcomed our attempted french! Pets all

Room was better than expected for price. Very clean, functional and spacious enough for family of five. The 'family room' is effectively two adjoining rooms to sleep 3. Each contains a double bed and top bunk bed overhead. Shower/toilet is basic but perfectly usable cabin unit within the room.

It was a two stars hotel but it was better that I stayed three stars hotel where I stayed the previous night. The location was great as just few minutes from the rail station. Besides, it was no noise from the out side and very quiet place to stay. I think the hotel has been well refurbished.

How special a place! A really beautiful setting and lovely gardens. Dinner was very reasonably priced and presented beautifully. We had a large room in the Chateau overlooking the gardens and it was everything I hoped it would be. Wouldn't hesitate in going back. We were only there one night so didn't venture out but everything we needed was available. Just beautiful.

We were only booked in overnight on our way to Calais from Carcassonne. We arrived after a 7 hour drive so a dip in the outdoor heated pool was a welcome and rejuvenating experience.
