Location, close to train station and tram stop. Shopping centre and cafes within easy walking distance. We had a campervan and this hotel offers free private parking which is a real bonus. The rooms are a very good size and the staff is extremely helpful.
The light through curtains was a bit of nuisance and only got cereal and milk for first night no toast. Having said that pleasantly surprised by comfort and cleanliness of room and would come back again but bring pegs to keep curtain closed. todos opiniões »
Clean room although a little tired looking. Needs a little TLC. Value for money with ceal and toast for breakfast. Lots of restaurants a short walk to Victoria street.

Considering we were there for the Lions test match and there were other sporting events in Melbourne that weekend, prices remained affordable. Yorkshire Arms, next door is an excellent pub.

'on the cheap'. Most rooms do not have windows to outdoors.
Shower door wouldn't open or close without some forcing it open and closed in room 10.

Building is very reminiscent of an old style prison, however it was clean, warm and provided everything we needed for a 2 night stay, not sure I'd be happy to stay for much longer.
The first impression when we saw the front counter was not very impressive. Looked very grubby. The rooms were much cleaner though. We did have a lot of people coming and going all night in the motel which made it very noisy.
Breakfast needs to improve greatly. Small soap blocks need to be supplied.

Basic facilities. The man in the office did not offer to help us carry our bags up 3 flights of stairs, he just stood and watched. The room was quite expensive for what it was and it's location. Not the greatest hotel ever.
TV was flickery and couldnt be watched.
