Location, close to train station and tram stop. Shopping centre and cafes within easy walking distance. We had a campervan and this hotel offers free private parking which is a real bonus. The rooms are a very good size and the staff is extremely helpful. The light through curtains was a bit of nuisance and only got cereal and milk for first night no toast. Having said that pleasantly surprised by comfort and cleanliness of room and would come back again but bring pegs to keep curtain closed.
all reviews » Clean room although a little tired looking. Needs a little TLC. Value for money with ceal and toast for breakfast. Lots of restaurants a short walk to Victoria street. Staff were so friendly, Rooms were clean and spacious. Bathroom was clean and spacious. Undercover parking Close to Pub which was really good. The location suited me perfectly, the staff were very friendly and as far as an overnight trip was concerned the price was great. friendly no hassle check in, nice clean room, close to MCG where we were attending the Liverpool v Melbourne game. Room had good facilities, i.e. tv, jug, fridge, reading lamps etc. Location suited us well. Not far from the city center, Just a short walk to the tram pick up. Good value for money, on site secure parking. Considering we were there for the Lions test match and there were other sporting events in Melbourne that weekend, prices remained affordable. Yorkshire Arms, next door is an excellent pub. We liked that it was close to the shops and the room had everything we needed in it. Access was good and the room was convenient. Staff was helpful. The room was clean. location. No lift. Would like to have Bar soap in room. STAIRS!!!! no lift. Nothing I didn't like. Our bathroom ceiling was under repair and had a stray wire/cord ! Maintenance seems to be done 'on the cheap'. Most rooms do not have windows to outdoors. Shower door wouldn't open or close without some forcing it open and closed in room 10. Facilities in room ie bathroom a little run down with broken tap and tiles. Air conditioning turned itself off during the 30 degrees night!. Nothing. Building is very reminiscent of an old style prison, however it was clean, warm and provided everything we needed for a 2 night stay, not sure I'd be happy to stay for much longer. The first impression when we saw the front counter was not very impressive. Looked very grubby. The rooms were much cleaner though. We did have a lot of people coming and going all night in the motel which made it very noisy. Breakfast needs to improve greatly. Small soap blocks need to be supplied. No plates provided for breakfast . bathroom light missing. Parking remains unlocked and open 24/7. "No smoking" room smelt heavily of smoking after it was supposedly ready for 6 hours or so. Fridge in bathroom. Fixed window no fresh air. A bit far to walk to the city, noise of neighboors. Basic facilities. The man in the office did not offer to help us carry our bags up 3 flights of stairs, he just stood and watched. The room was quite expensive for what it was and it's location. Not the greatest hotel ever. TV was flickery and couldnt be watched. Bathroon was disgusting. Room stank of cigarette smoke. Would never stay there again. Very dissapointing.
