We were greeted immediately upon on our arrival from a very helpful, efficient member of the reception team. As we had arrived early our room wasn’t quite ready, but the receptionist immediately got onto the housekeeping to make it a priority. We were given the delicious warm cookie to eat while we checked in. We left our luggage and went to do some sightseeing. The staff at the front desk were all cheerful, booked our taxis flawlessly, and provided an electrical adapter for only a deposit. The room was clean and the towels large and plush. The A/C worked fine and kept us quite cool. Bermondsey Square, just one block south, has a lovely courtyard with two nice restaurants (we tried and enjoyed both), a cinema/bar, and a small grocery (which we also found handy on several occasions during our 6 night stay). Excellent, quality accommodation - clean and quiet with good transport links (DLR and river ferry) and local shopping / pubs / eating out. The views from the apartment (9th floor) are spectacular which provided an added bonus!
Tip for taxi users - we used a local cab company (Carrot Cars) to go from the apartment to Euston station at a very reasonable rate (£21) that was quoted on booking and didn't change despite long delays due to traffic congestion - and it was nearly 30% cheaper than the b
