  A beautiful hotel with an imposing entrance. Our bedroom room was spacious and very attractive. The Midland is right in centre. Surrounded by cafes bars and theatres. The hotel was built in 1903 and I understand was recently renovated. All the luxury and comfort of a bygone age but with every modern convience.   The attitude & manner of all the staff I had contact with was first class. Initially I was given a smoking room, so I returned to reception to comment (not complain) & the member of staff immediately allocated me another room on a different floor. When we checked in we were giving a room on the 3rd floor when I went up I realised there was no bath in the room which for my son is essential so I asked at reception if we could be changed and they changed us to the 5th floor straight away which I was very grateful for.
