  The staff at Numancia, especially the man on the front desk the majority of the time are excellent. All our needs were met and any requests were willing to be accommodated including leaving our luggage there for a whole day (as our train trip was at night). The staff is very friendly and helful and rooms look like normal hotel rooms. The accomadations were really great in terms of price/quality. Everything was clean and we had this room facing the street with a little balcony, just great. The location is the best you can have, being 5 minutes way from Plaza Mayor or Puerta del Sol, Mercado de San Miguel, Gran Via, etc. Definetly the place to stay whenever we go to madrid.

Great price in an excellent location; it was very easy to find everything and the staff gave me a map and explained a bit about where I was. The staff was helpful and kind they gave me my breakfast at night since I was leaving very early before the breakfast is served. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes next to the hostel.

  Great location, just two blocks away from "Puerta del sol" and "Plaza mayor". Clean rooms and bathroom at a great price. Public parking is just 1/2 a block away. It's a great base location to walk around Madrid. Senora Remedios and Mr Vicente are the very friendly couple that runs the place.
