  I stayed early Jan 2009. The food was excellent. The staff were superb. The room was sufficient. Apart from the bedroom, it had a lovely traditional feel to the place. It was convenient for the free ski bus and the Expressbussen to Oslo airport. It was a better location for non-beginner ski slopes than Fagerasen area.   Very nice hotel with a great location. We only spent one night. The reception was friendly and helpful and the rooms were cozy and the bed was very comfortable. We had a lake view (it was still frozen) and the parking was across the street in a large public lot (very convenient).   We had a beautiful view on the lake and spent a wonderful night with norwegian folk music. The staff was very friendly and helpful - beautiful outlook on edge of lake, unfortunately for us it was raining during our one night stay

  The place is owned by a friendly and helpful Dutch couple. It's self-contained, with a restaurant that doubles as a bar. This was handy as on the night of our stay, they did appear to be the only gig in town for eating. The food was reasonable and definitely plentiful.
