The owner Reibal and his staff were absolutely the best among all the riads we stayed at during our two-wk trip through Morocco. The Riad Le Calife is a wonderful experience, from the gracious welcome and the comfortable check in (with its mint tea), through the delightful rooms, garden, terraces, to the wonderful meals. You could not stay in a better place in Fes, in Morroco, or in North Africa. The staff and hosts are helpful, charming, engaging, informative, and happy. We arrived as strangers and left as friends.

I highly recommend this Riad if you want to have an awesome time in Fes! Marco and Fiela are amazing, and will do anything to make you feel at home. The hotel is so spectacular it is difficult to describe. Directly in the
Medina (Old City, the oldest Medina in Morocco). It is a former
residence of an Imam from the 17th century and could be described as a
palace. A rooftop terrace, inner courtyards and gardens, and even a
swimming pool in one of the courtyards. The manager, Said, speaks
several languages and was extraordinarily helpful, even having one of
the staff wash our clothes (we were traveling via motorcycle through

This place is fantastic! Really beautiful architecture right in the
Medina, which means you can do most of the sightseeing by foot. We had
dinner there for 25eur pp, which I think is expensive but the food was
truly amazing. Breakfast was excellent as well. I wish I could stay more
time! We hired a guide through them for 25eur, which was ok. They charge
10eur for a transfer to the train station in a grand-taxi, but we took a
small-taxi there for 2eur.
