Jean Claude was the most helpful friendly host you could possibly find. He collected and dropped us off at the bus station and helped us with onward tickets. The riad was in an excellent location very close to the medina but just far enough away to be quiet. The swimming pool was great to have after a hot day exploring. The Riad Le Calife is a wonderful experience, from the gracious welcome and the comfortable check in (with its mint tea), through the delightful rooms, garden, terraces, to the wonderful meals. You could not stay in a better place in Fes, in Morroco, or in North Africa. The staff and hosts are helpful, charming, engaging, informative, and happy. We arrived as strangers and left as friends.
