My husband and I have just returned from 6 days in Penang. We chose Traders as it was close to the bus terminal and shops which was very convenient. We never used taxis as the bus system there is exceelent so it's easy to get around the main sites by bus at very cheap prices. It's a beautifully restored set of old houses, the staff are courteous, friendly and helpful, there are special touches like the 4pm cup of tea and kuih (local cake) by the poolside. It rained part of the time we were there but this was a lovely place to just relax and read a book in peace. we enjoy the spa swimming pool, my 2 year-old son enjoyed it very much, and the breakfast is delicious ( even though the roti canai is not as good as INDIAN made..haha) - I like the location bayview hotel.....very near to penang town...and i enjoy the hotel food n morning breakfast.....The rate hotel very vert cheap others hotel....

Staff was very friendly and helpful. You feel like in 5 star hotel, altough the price was only like 3 star hotel. Room was nice and big. We asked if we could check out a bit later and they said it was ok, this was a really nice thing to us! There was many nice places to eat near the hotel. - the location is conveniant

It's well kept. Huge bed, nice view, very clean. Parking is easy and free. Wifi works very well. Was given a free upgrade to Premium room from the usual Deluxe.
