My husband and I have just returned from 6 days in Penang. We chose Traders as it was close to the bus terminal and shops which was very convenient. We never used taxis as the bus system there is exceelent so it's easy to get around the main sites by bus at very cheap prices. Even though the terminal was just next door, the rooms are very quiet and getting a great night sleep was easy. The room was modern, well maintained and very clean. Everything was perfect. Led by Nardya and Roberto, the entire staff of the hotel is providing excellent services and are very hospitable. They are happy to recommend the local eateries in the area which is very nice of them. Nonetheless I would recommend to taste the pizza in their restaurant Il Bacaro which is great.

Beautiful heritage house right in the heart of Georgetown, an easy walk (in blistering heat!) to most of the key places to visit.
The owners and staff were exceedingly friendly and professional, and the room was very comfortable.
The house has been beautifully restored, with as much attention to detail in the common areas as the bedrooms.
The huge, tasty breakfast was also a bonus!

It's a beautifully restored set of old houses, the staff are courteous, friendly and helpful, there are special touches like the 4pm cup of tea and kuih (local cake) by the poolside. It rained part of the time we were there but this was a lovely place to just relax and read a book in peace. The Kebaya restaurant was where we had the best meal during our three days, wish it were open for lunch too. we enjoy the spa swimming pool, my 2 year-old son enjoyed it very much, and the breakfast is delicious ( even though the roti canai is not as good as INDIAN made..haha) - I like the location bayview hotel.....very near to penang town...and i enjoy the hotel food n morning breakfast.....The rate hotel very vert cheap others hotel....

It's well kept. Huge bed, nice view, very clean. Parking is easy and free. Wifi works very well. Was given a free upgrade to Premium room from the usual Deluxe. Location is excellent as it's close to shops, amenities and central to exit and local attractions. Staff friendly, quick service. Can't ask for more. -

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Most notably, they were honest. I was sure I had lost my 2k spectacle but they found it. They were very alert too. They would assist you anytime.
