The Spiga d'Oro was a great farmhouse in the heart of Tuscany. It was conveniently located so that we were able to do some wonderful day trips within a reasonable drive: Florence, Arezzo, Siena, Cortona, Montepuliciano. The accommodations were great. The location is fabulous, truly relaxing and all we could have asked for after five days in Rome! The apartments are very well run, beautifully furnished, a great place to return to after a days sightseeing. The pool and gardens are lovely - very sad to leave - I would highly recommend this property, we didn't want to leave! -

It was a unique setting and property. We would recommend staying here and cant wait to return one day this time for longer. - Beautiful old villa in Italian garden with lovely rooms and views. Initially we had some problems getting there (read: turn off gravel roads in GPS), but with owner Stephano's help (thank you so much again :) ) we arrived at really beautiful, cozy, peaceful and historic place with amazing garden and terrace in the middle of olive groves, overlooking Chianti

This is the most beautifull villa I've ever been to & seen. This is a perfect place if you stay in Tuscany few days - close to Firenze and Lucca/Piza as weel. The rooms are beautiful (more beautiful then pictures on booking presenting the villa). My room was the smallest one (le coccinelle - abt 20 sq m) but it was comfortable enought, really stylish, beautiful, new and very clean (as the whole villa). Fabiola and Stefano and their family have a beautiful Bed and Breakfast set amid olive groves and gardens in the little working town of Calci. Both were very welcoming. The room was spotless and was furnished with antique furniture and linens.

We really liked the relaxed friendly atmosphere of the place. Breakfast was lovely on outside terrace with a delicious variety of fresh home made cakes, fresh coffee, fruit salad, ham, cheese and more. Stefano and Fabiola very helpful and welcoming without being 'in your face'. Lovely quite place to return to after busy day sight seeing and ample selection of restaurants in Calci.
