  I can't say enough about how nice and accommodating the owners of this hotel were. It is a family run hotel which in turn treats all their guests like family. The rooms were clean and roomy with wonderful views. It was nice to come back to a room which I could turn on the air conditioning.   The room was very neat and clean. The breakfast was very good, and well organized. This was one of the best places we stayed at over our four weeks on the continent in terms of value for money, staff, helpfulness. Geographic situation: Amalfi is ideally positionned to visit the other villages of the amalfitan coast which is really a paradise on earth. There are buses regularly leaving the village for other destinations (Positano, Ravello, Salerno, Maiori, Sorrento, ...). The hotel is ideally positioned in the village, 5 minutes from the center but in the heights of the villa - We loved our stay at the Villa Annalara. Christian was so gracious and accomodating. Always ready to serve us up another capuccino. He also had lots of recommendations for sights to see and things to do around the amalfi coast. Our villa was very clean and spacious and we even had a beautiful terrace to sit out at night and enjoy a limoncello before retiring to bed.

  The staff were excellent. It is in a very good situation although the immediate square it is in, is slightly run down and can be intimidating at first. If the noise of fireworks upsets you, this is not the hotel for you, as there are a number of firework shops in the square and during the festivals there are constant loud bangs.

Hotel was extremely clean and the rooms were comfortable and roomy. The hotel has the most spectacular view of Sorrento and the coast. The hotel provides easy axcess into Sorrento via a shuttle. We would recommend finding out the shuttle or bus schedule prior to arrival in Sorrento since the taxis to the hotel are pricey (Euro 50).

Given hotel is on the side of a hill the hotel runs a regular minibus service to/from Forio town center, hotel has its own thermal bath - Everything was excelent! But you should remember - it's high on the hill.
