  This is a very interesting property at the top of a mountain in the middle of some ruins. The hotel is updated with rather modern touches. Fairly comfortable overall. The view is the selling point and why I chose to stay. The restaurant on premises is also quite good.   Breakfast was well above average and there was a lot of choice. It is a place to stay for a relaxing rest. You can easily walk into Monsummano and eat at authentic Italian restaurants. It is about a kilometre to the Grotta Giusti which is well worth a visit. If you want to get anywhere by train the station is about 5 minutes away.   Loved it and can't wait to go back. Very homely, full of character, spotless, truly Italian, loved the homegrown food and wine, and nothing was too much trouble - even a trip to the doctors.
