  We arrive in Genoa to find out there would be a train strike on the day we were to leave. We had booked 2 nights at the hotel. We explained to the lovely young lady about our predicament and that we wanted to only stay one night as we did not want to get caught up in the train strike.   Was a nice small hotel with an Italian flair. Different from what one would expect from the us, but that is what made it neat. Staff very accommodating and while they gave me a break on WiFi, it would have been nice if it were included. All said and done, was a nice stay and would stay there again. - Staff could speak English well and customer service was great. The girl on the counter explained a great walking tour and marked up a map in detail. I did not get lost!!!! Location was fantastic. Because it is so close to GenoaPiazza I did my research on google maps and found the place easily from the station. Easy walk to all the city sights including the main piazza.
